We are looking to recruit a Health and Safety (H&S) Systems and Audit Lead / Advisor to join our Health and Safety Team.

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the University’s Health and Safety Management arrangements, working with key stakeholders to ensure they are fulfilling their Health and Safety duties at the University, contributing to overall compliance with all related legal requirements. You will provide high-quality Health and Safety advice and support service for the University community.

Leading the University’s Health and Safety Auditing, Systems and Reporting functions, you will provide specialist advice, technical guidance and support on all such matters across the University. You will play a key role in specifying, co-ordinating and supporting the development and implementation of new Health and Safety digital systems and processes, to support all the functions of the Office of Health and Safety and the University’s Health and Safety Management system Framework.

You will be educated to degree level, or have relevant experience gained through a similar role and hold relevant professional qualifications with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Experience of providing Health and Safety advice in a complex multi-disciplinary environment with a variety of risks, together with extensive knowledge of the application of Health and Safety Auditing and Management Systems are essential requirements of the role.

We offer an excellent employment package including flexitime and hybrid working. Due to the nature of the work this post will be based on campus at least three day per week.
