We are currently looking for a SHE Officer to join our team.

The Role
Reporting to the Group Health and Safety Officer, you will be the safety, health and environmental officer for GB. You will liaise with the SHEQ department to ensure Edina is compliant with current safety, health and environmental legislation and regulations of GB. You will be responsible for reporting all serious H&S and/or environmental accident/incidents and breaches in legislation to the Group H&S Officer and Head of SHEQ in a timely manner.
You will assist and complete risk assessments, reducing possible risk factors, whilst assisting with the preparation of health and safety and environmental strategies in relation to the Service/Projects Departments. You will assist in the preparation of safety, health and environmental strategies and development of internal policies and you will also be responsible for conducting and recording regular site inspections both in house and on-site to monitor and ensure policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
About You
To be considered for the SHE Officer role, you’ll need:
- To hold a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety and/or NEBOSH Health & Safety Management for Construction (UK) H&S or equivalent/higher.
- To have a level 3 certificate in Environmental Management or equivalent/higher.
- To have at least 3 years recent and relevant experience within the construction industry.
- To have a good understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, in an engineering or civil engineering background within the UK.
- To have knowledge of CDM, LOLER, PUWER, Electricity at Work Act, Gas Safety Regulations.
- To have experience in formulating policies and risk assessments.
- To have experience of implementing, monitoring, reviewing and auditing safety processes.
- To have knowledge or experience of ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001.
- Effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
- To have a full, valid UK driving license.
Hours of Work: Monday - Thursday 8:30 - 5pm & Friday 8.30 am - 4.00 pm. You will be required to travel for this position throughout UK and possibly Ireland.
