SHEQ Manager


Hays Health & Safety are excited to be working with a well-respected Construction company based in Manchester.As this company continues to grow, promote and develop they are seeking a professional SHEQ manager committed to Health & Safety. You will have a background in Construction and strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and be experienced in Health & Safety management or be in a Senior Health & Safety role currently.You will be responsible for Health & Safety on multiple projects and therefore will be expected to communicate effectively at all levels of the business and continuously improve Health & Safety work practices.

Your new role

In your new role as SHEQ manager you will need to;

  • Ensure all Quality standards are met (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001).
  • Uphold CHAS and Constructionline accreditations.
  • Compile Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
  • Generate Construction Phase Plans.
  • Complete Documents for Site Audits and carry these out.
  • Provide training and briefings for site teams.
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to foster a collaborative approach to Health & Safety.
  • Lead investigations into accidents and near misses and implement preventative measures.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate dedication to Health and safety at all times, ensuring compliance with all regulations and showcase strong leadership experience within Health & Safety, ideally in a construction setting.
You will hold a NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification and ideally be a certified member of IOSH.
You will have the ability to work independently and plan your own workload to maintain and improve a strong and collaborative Health & Safety culture, along with the ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and adapt to change.
You will also require a full driving licence.
