Hays is working exclusively with an award-winning and world leading supply chain business that is seeking an experienced HSE Business Partner to play a vital role within the transport sector.
Your new role
As the HSE Business Partner, you will play a vital role ensuring continuous development and execution of Health, Safety and Environmental across the business.
As part of your normal duties, you will:
* Provide HSE advice, guidance and support to enable the site to comply with relevant statutory legislation.
* Drive business standardisation and assist with the continued adherence to the HSMS and any other relevant HSE policies at the site.
* Liaise proactively with enforcing authorities as required to ensure the Company is properly represented
* Monitor the accuracy and quality of information in Logics and ensure adequate trend analysis is produced and used by site
* Undertake relevant HSE & BCM audits and associated create action plans in line with corporate requirements
* Keep abreast of Health & Safety legislation and ensure that site management teams are kept up to date with Health & Safety legislation updates. Site processes meet any statutory inspections required i.e. bay doors, lights, PAT, fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, etc.
* Provide training and guidance to ensure risk assessments and safe systems of work are developed and maintained
* Ensuring accident investigations are completed in a timely manner and actions are implemented to prevent reoccurrence at the site (inclusive of major incidents & motor)

The successful candidate will have:
* Previous experience working in a similar HSE Business Partner/Senior Management role.* Previous H&S responsibilities with a target focus and an ability to deliver standardised programmes.
* NEBOSH National General Certificate (Essential).
* Ability to engage with site stakeholders, customers and managers at all levels.
* Work in collaboration with other HSE BP's, functions teams and customers.
* Excellent communication skills - Written and verbal.
* Able to work directly with patients, ensuring empathy during your duties.
