We are excited to partner with The Coventry & Solihull Waste Disposal Company (CSWDC) in the search for an Environment, Health and Safety Advisor.

CSWDC, an independent waste management company, specializes in converting municipal and commercial solid waste into energy, providing both heat and electrical power.

Reporting directly into the Compliance and Performance Manager, this role is crucial for fostering a strong health and safety culture and enhancing safety performance throughout the organisation.

Responsibilities of the Environment, Health and Safety Advisor will include:

• Promoting a positive health and safety culture across the site, seeking best practice at every opportunity
• Supporting and advising site teams to help them meet company standards and procedures
• Regularly auditing health, safety and environment performance, recording and investigating accidents/incidents as required by legislation and Company Policy
• Assisting senior management with the implementation of new campaigns and company-wide initiatives
• Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators
• Leading on new initiatives and always seeking opportunities to improve and develop Health, Safety and Environmental performance

The successful Environment, Health and Safety Advisor will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role within waste, environmental services or a related industry
• NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent and ideally membership of a relevant professional body (i.e IOSH)
• The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation
• An enthusiastic and positive approach to health and safety
