Irwin and Colton has been engaged on an exciting new opportunity with an industrial expressway organisation, that own and operate tolling points across the midlands, to recruit a new SHEQ Manager. The role will be leading the health and safety across the organisation, across their corporate office and depots, as well as operationally along the stretch of motorway for which tolls are in place. The role will report to the COO and HR Director.

Responsibilities for the SHEQ Manager will include:

• Working with the Senior Leadership Team to drive the health and safety strategy and culture across the organisation
• Working closely in conjunction with Highways England and engaging with staff across the wider business and ensuring they are compliant on a consistent basis
• Leading to ensure safety protocol is implemented and managed in alignment to ISO-systems
• Managing on the accurate and timely reporting on health and safety performance
• Supporting the wider business on ESG-related projects

The successful SHEQ Manager will have:

• NEBOSH general certificate (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH
• Experience working with ISO-accreditations 45001, 14001, and 9001
• Experience operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to prioritise effectively
• A pragmatic and solutions-focused outlook with the ability to spot efficiencies across the organisation
• Highway / highway maintenance experience would be ideal, but not essential
