Put your safety knowledge and experience to work in an interesting and influential role. You will be underpinning the crucial work of a dedicated agency that is tackling disease and ensuring the health of animals throughout the UK.
About the role
You will be responsible for safety technical assurance in the Pathology & Animal Sciences Department, providing comprehensive and consistent technical assurance of laboratory and specialist environments and work practices. This will include higher containment laboratory facilities, large animal post mortem facilities and animal facilities. You will provide scientific and technical support and input into the adoption and development of new technologies required for pathology and animal science delivery.
About you
Together with a BSc degree or equivalent, you will have relevant experience of working in a bio-containment environment. Experience of a multi-site environment employing high containment facilities will be essential, as well as experience of managing within health & safety and knowledge of safety standard with a commitment to safety, including training. You will need to be a good communicator with the ability to obtain cooperation and input from colleagues while demonstrating confidence influencing upwards to senior managers.
