This Housing Association are looking for a high calibre Clerk of Works to join their planned maintenance team in London on a 3-Month Rolling Contract basis to play an important role in delivering cyclical and K&Bs work. The planned maintenance team are passionate about delivering the highest quality maintenance to their stock, putting value for money and a great resident experience at the heart of everything they do.
Your new role
As a Clerk of Works, you will be responsible for providing professional service on a planned maintenance & Kitchen & Bathroom renewal program primarily on our clients\' housing stock.
Your work will be crucial in supporting the delivery of planned maintenance work to customers in their homes. Working with the clients\' front-line housing teams, you'll work with Project Managers and Building Surveyors to provide professional inspections advice. Your quality inspections and monitoring of planned programmes will help the team to make sure they're getting works right first time.
You\'ll use your knowledge and experience to review technical and material specifications, inspect works on site to ensure they are consistent with contract requirements, attend site inspections at regular intervals, and inspect and report as to the suitability of works to be undertaken. Ensure that standards of work and the materials supplied by contractors are as specified in accordance with the contract information. Snag the works and agree complete allowing the handover stage to commence. Assist with ad-hoc duties where required.
What you\'ll need to succeed
Ideally, you will hold accreditation from the Institute of Clerk of Works or similar.
Experience of working on planned maintenance projects including kitchen and bathrooms.
As one of the technical experts, you'll be trusted to make sound recommendations across a range of residential buildings which vary in style, design, and age.
Strong people skills are essential.
A good knowledge of IT systems will also be important.
