Job Description:
Hays Education are currently looking for a dynamic and passionate music teacher to join the team at a Ofsted rated ‘Good' Secondary school in Croydon. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing the music curriculum at KS3-4 in the classroom, as well as leading on extra-curricular music activities such as school productions, concerts, choirs, and other ensembles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging and challenging music lessons to students at KS3-4.
• Lead on extra-curricular music activities, including school productions, concerts, choirs, and other ensembles.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as required.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement the music curriculum.
• Participate in school events and activities as required.

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience of teaching music at KS3-4.
• A passion for music and a commitment to inspiring students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.

Desirable Requirements:

• Experience of leading extra-curricular music activities.
• Experience of contributing to music at a secondary level.
