Role: Science Technician job
Location: Waltham Forest
Rate: £90 - £150 per day
Hays Education is looking for a qualified and experienced science technician to join a Ofsted rated ‘Good' Secondary School in Waltham Forest, London. You will be responsible for providing general technician support to the science department, including preparation and maintenance of resources and equipment, setting up and clearing experiments, and assisting teachers and students with practical work. You will also be expected to follow health and safety regulations and policies, and contribute to the school's ethos and vision.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A relevant qualification in science or a related subject
- Experience of working as a science technician in a school setting
- A good knowledge of the science curriculum and practical skills
- A commitment to high standards and quality of work
- A flexible and proactive approach to work
- A valid DBS check or willingness to obtain one
