Our academy is a vibrant and diverse primary school in London, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality education for all our pupils. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced assistant headteacher/year 5 teacher to join our leadership team and help us achieve our vision of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the year 5 team, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across the curriculum
  • Support the headteacher in the strategic development and improvement of the school, contributing to the school improvement plan and self-evaluation
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and attainment of pupils, identifying areas for development and implementing appropriate interventions
  • Provide professional development and coaching for staff, modelling good practice and sharing expertise
  • Teach a year 5 class, planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons that meet the needs of all learners
  • Promote a positive and inclusive school culture, fostering positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and external partners


Requirements

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience in primary education
  • Evidence of successful leadership and management experience in a primary school setting
  • A clear understanding of the primary curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with high expectations for yourself and others
  • A commitment to the ethos and values of our academy
