Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator
Reay Forest Estate - Sutherland, Scotland
£30,000 - £35,000

Irwin and Colton have exclusively partnered with Grosvenor to help recruit a new Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator; to be based at the Reay Forest Estate, supporting the Estate Manager.

The Grosvenor Family Office is responsible for the management of operational and advisory support services, including activities focused on heritage and conservation. Part of the Family Office, the Grosvenor Rural Estates teams are responsible for the long-term stewardship of three rural estates in the United Kingdom (Abbeystead Estate, Eaton Estate, Reay Forest Estate) and one (La Garganta Estate) in Spain.

The Reay Forest Estate is a sporting estate famed for deer, trout, and salmon as well as its wild beauty and remote landscapes. Situated in Sutherland in the Northwest Highlands, it has 6 Sites of Special Scientific Interest, areas which NatureScot (Scotland's nature agency) considers to best represent the country's natural environment, notably Foinaven which supports a typical range of upland habitats and species, and is one of the largest designated sites in the UK.

Responsibilities of the Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator are:

  • Overseeing the development and delivery of health and safety across the estate, ensuring this is fit for purpose and striving for best practice within different environments.
  • Focusing on the delivery of opportunities to drive efficiency and modernise the health and safety function, including management systems.
  • Ensuring the estate is compliant to HSE legislation, and working on ISO accreditations 45001 and 14001
  • Supporting the wider team with training, identifying needs and development
  • Assisting Management with expert health and safety advice and knowledge to staff

The successful Health, Safety, and Compliance Coordinator will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar Health and Safety role; ideally within wider property/estates.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate, with relevant IOSH membership
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience influencing and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience within compliance and ISO-accreditations

This role does require the suitable candidate to relocate and live on the estate. 'Reay Forest' can comfortably provide suitable accommodation for families, as well as schooling.

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established company with a long history and strong heritage. For more information on this opportunity or to discuss your next career move, contact Matthew Cathcart on +44(0) 1923 432 636 or apply here.
