The Executive Network Groups Logistics & Transport  Division is currently searching for a Health & Safety Advisor in Warwickshire on a full time permanent basis, our client is an award winning employer where company Safety & culture is at the forefront of their priorities

Salary on offer is £45,000 - £50,000 + 10% bonus and additional package.

The role is part of an influential leadership team as they growing and investing in the whole business function.
To be considered for this single site Health & Safety Advisor role you must have:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
  • Experience within Rail or Engineering or an operational environment
  • ISO 9001:2015, 14001:2015 or 45001:2018 internal auditor (Desirable)
  • Experience doing risk assessments  (Essential)
  • Exposure in Behavioural Based Safety training (Desirable
  • Experience of putting processes and procedures into new sites/ operations
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering a positive and sustaining safe delivery culture in an operational environment
 
Key responsibilities for this single site Health & Safety Advisor:
  • To develop and implement site Health and Safety Procedures, along with safe methods of working to ensure continued compliance with applicable health and Safety legislation and industry standards
  • To champion the development of a safe culture on site
  • Develop and maintain a suite of risk assessments to cover the range of activities carried out on site (rail and non-rail)
  • Identify health and safety training needs, ensuring that the staff have the relevant levels of accredited competence to fulfil their roles. This will include organising appropriate training, carry out health and safety briefings and toolbox talks
  • Safety Management of 3rd Party Contractors – including CDM compliance (where applicable), review and sign off of RAMS, and issue of site work permits
  • Investigate all site accidents/ incidents and near misses, ensuring that the company close call process is embedded
  • Carry out site safety inspections (planned and unplanned) ensuring that the results of these are recorded and that all open actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Carry out site safety audits – including periodic audits of site tenants ensuring that the results of these are recorded and that all open actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Implement and manage health and safety actions/ recommendations tracking ensuring that the results of these are recorded and that all open actions are closed in a timely manner
  • Produce a monthly site health & safety report which includes site related Health and Safety Key Performance Indictors (KPI’s)
