We have partnered with a leading heavy manufacturing organisation, who are looking to appoint a H&S Officer at their site in Widnes, Cheshire. The H&S Officer needs to be someone who has a hands-on approach, someone who will engage and build relationships at all levels.

The business has shown continued growth and recently acquired this site, it's a brilliant time for someone to join and develop the site H&S culture and really leave their mark on a site. The successful H&S Officer will be part of a wider UK H&S team, who are focused on transforming HSE across the business as well as promoting a safety-first culture.

The Role of the H&S Officer:

- Support and guide on various site HSE matters
- Build relationships with key stakeholders across the site, promoting the development of a positive culture and best practice
- Deliver continuous improvement in Health, Safety and Environment standards and practices
- Contribute to the implementation, monitoring and measurement of the SHE strategy

The H&S Officer Candidate will have:

- 2-3 years' experience within a HSE role
- Must have experience within a Manufacturing or Engineering environment, heavy industry is advantageous
- Knowledge of ISO Management System ISO 45001 and 14001 is advantageous
- Drive, personality and resilience are key to this role
- Understanding of safety culture development
- NEBOSH General as a minimum, ideally Diploma or working towards
