Senior Safety & Resilience Officer
£32,020 - £36,298
Working for one of fastest growing boroughs in the country, we have ambitious plans to build on our track record of delivering growth and investment, while supporting our communities and creating opportunities for all.
We’re proud of our past - after all, Rugby’s home to a game enjoyed by millions around the world but we’re firmly focused on the future!
Rugby Borough Council is looking to enhance its Safety & Resilience Team. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team which is driving behavioural change across the Council to ensure excellence in health, safety, welfare management and compliance with Corporate Health and Safety Policy, Procedures, and relevant Statutory Regulations.
The role is to work within the existing RBC Safety and Resilience Team on all aspects of Health and Safety Management, across diverse business streams, including Waste Services.
You will assist with the planning, implementation and monitoring the effectiveness of our health and safety policies and procedures. In addition, you will support the safety team with business continuity and emergency planning to ensure resilience of the Council.
If you are passionate about health and safety, have experience in waste services safety management, are qualified to at least NEBOSH Certificate standard or equivalent and have the ability to champion, challenge, and influence behaviours in order to promote positive attitudes in the workplace, then we want to hear from you.
We offer agile working, a flexitime scheme, enhanced maternity and adoption leave, and generous annual leave.
For an informal discussion about this role, please call David Burrows, Chief Officer Regulation and Safety on 01788 533806.
