Head of Health & Safety

As part of our refreshed approach to health and safety, and our ambitious plans, we are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking health and safety professional to lead the Health and Safety Service across the University.  Reporting to the University Secretary, you will provide strategic leadership to develop and deliver our Health and Safety Strategy, policies and management systems to ensure that we maintain a safe and compliant environment across the full range of our activities.

You must possess a NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health, or equivalent and be a Chartered Member of IOSH. Having experience of working within a complex organisation with an ability to work strategically, you will have a strong track record of leading the development, implementation and review of Health and Safety Strategy, together with review and maintenance of the supporting Health and Safety Policies and procedures. It is essential that you have excellent communication and inter-personal skills, with the ability to secure engagement from various stakeholders.
