Job Details

We have an exciting opportunity to appoint a Health and Safety Consultant tasked with supporting our enviable list of private and public sector clients to comply with legal and management system requirements, as well as developing and expanding our training programme.

This post will be home-based but require some time in our Blackburn-based head office, as well as travel (and some overnight stays) throughout the UK and Ireland.

A typical week could include:

  • Developing and delivering a training course, workshop or webinar.
  • Supporting a client to implement or maintain a health and safety management system.
  • Carrying out a health and safety legal compliance audit at a client site.
  • Developing tenders or proposals to win work.
  • Supporting and mentoring trainee consultants.

We’d love to hear from you if you have:

  • A NEBOSH health and safety certificate in health and safety or NEBOSH health and safety diploma, or similar qualification.
  • Experience of developing and delivering training courses, workshops, and / or webinars.
  • Knowledge of management systems standards such as ISO 45001.
  • Experience of working in the field of health and safety consultancy services.
  • Good working knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice.
  • Relevant professional health and safety qualifications with demonstrable Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
  • A relevant training qualification.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.
  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards this.
