Health and Safety Manager
Salary: £45,000-£50,000
Location: Flexible with the opportunity to be based from 183 Eversholt Street, London or in one of our Hubs (Middlebrough, Hull, Barnsley, Hockley, Witham, Frinton-on Sea/Thorpe Le Soken, Hounslow, Andover, Keynsham) with some travel to our Head Office in London as required
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Keeping all of our children and staff safe is the number one priority for Academies Enterprise Trust. This is a new and important role where you will work with a variety of stakeholders at all levels, both centrally and regionally. You will develop, maintain and improve Health & Safety across the Trust, whilst promoting a positive health and safety culture amongst school staff and contractors across our school sites.
You will be an integral part of the central operations team, ensuring that lessons learnt, and good practices are shared and reported back centrally to support wider risk management processes.
You will:
- Hold a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
- Be a graduate member of IOSH
- Have significant and proven experience in a similar Health and Safety role
- You will be able to demonstrate the ability to operate at a strategic and operational level, balancing technical expertise with culture change and senior level influencing capability
