We are working exclusively with a global leading electrical wholesaler who are looking to appoint a proven Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Manager at their brand-new state of the art distribution hub, near Aylesbury. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in helping shape the EHS agenda at this key site, you will help define and drive a positive safety cultural for the future.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking for a challenge on a brand-new facility, where you have a relatively blank canvass and the opportunity to drive the HSE agenda forward, and really make a mark.
The Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Manager Role:
- Create, develop, manage and maintain EHS policies and procedures
- As well as promoting a positive Health and Safety culture across the business, you will provide day to day HSE advice to the business
- You will be involved with carrying out accident investigations, risk assessments, audits, providing training, developing management systems and keeping abreast of new regulations
- With it being a new site there will be lots of new starters so you will play a pivotal role in staff inductions, defining work practices, training of new staff
- Monitoring and developing Health and Safety performance within the business, ensuring standards and company objectives are met
- Drive EHS excellence across the site whilst working closely with the leadership team and employees
The Health, Safety, Environmental & Security Manager Candidate:
- Experience in a Logistics, Distribution, Transport, or a Retail environment is highly advantageous
- Experience showing the ability to successfully manage a fast pace, complex distribution hub
- Experience of EHS Management systems and managed associated IS0 accreditations (IS0 14001, IS04500)
- Nebosh General, ideally Diploma or working towards
- Ideally have a IEMA Qualification
- Passionate, driven and resilient
- A credible, confident leader with experience influencing across all levels of a business
