Health and Safety Inspector

The Health and Safety Inspectorate is the Island’s occupational Health and Safety Regulator, holding the equivalent status in Jersey to that of the Health and Safety Executive in the UK. Further information can be accessed through our website www.gov.je/hsi

We are seeking to recruit a qualified Health and Safety Inspector to administer and enforce the Health and Safety at Work (Jersey) Law 1989.

You must have at least 5 years’ experience working for a Health and Safety Regulatory Authority, including experience within the Construction sector. You should also be a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, or be eligible to apply for this status upon appointment.  

Sound judgement, a strong ability to influence and persuade through excellent interpersonal and written skills are essential. Physical fitness, good IT skills and a current driving licence also required.
