Salary: £30,000- £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience) + benefits including bonus scheme

Location: Regional based

Our brands include Huws Gray Ridgeons, Qualplas, Ridgeons Forest Products, Anglia Tool Centre, Plumbstock, Buildbase, Civils & Lintels, PDM Buildbase, The Timber Group, Bathroom Distribution Group, Frontline and NDI brands.

Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Carrying out Safety, Health & Environmental audits
  • Supporting branches to ensure that actions are completed in a timely manner and to the standard expected and maintained as required
  • Carrying out localised training
  • Carrying out accident investigations and ensure root cause is identified and corrective action put in place to prevent re-occurrence
  • Providing Safety, Health & Environmental support to Branch Managers, Assistant Branch Manager and their teams/colleagues

The successful applicant will be:

  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • A positive individual with high levels of personal drive, enthusiasm and initiative
  • Strong team player who actively participates in wider team 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative and to deadlines

Knowledge and experience:

  • Experience of working in a Health & Safety role, ideally within a multi-site business
  • Knowledge of environmental matters
  • Knowledge of the merchant section would be an advantage although not essential

Qualifications:

  • Graduate Member of IOSH (desirable)
  • Driving licence (essential)
