Health and Safety Manager

We are exclusively working with a property management company to recruit a Health & Safety Manager. Reporting to the Health and Safety Director, you will be setting strategy, policies and procedures whilst retaining hands on responsibilities. Our client is looking for a H&S Manager with the ability to influence and engage with all levels of the business, from board level down. The Health and Safety Manager will be based in the West Midlands and the role will involve UK wide travel.

The Health and Safety Manager will:

• Providing general Health & Safety advice to Directors, Managers, Staff and Contractors on legislative requirements with focus on Fire Safety, the management of asbestos, confined spaces, permit to work, working at height and general property risk.
• Develop and implement areas of the H&S management system relevant to property management, as well as drafting guidance, bulletins, briefing notes and other documents as directed.
• Lead on incident investigation and monitor identified remedial actions and trends on behalf of property management.
• Be responsible for one direct report and the planned growth of the H&S team

The Health and Safety Manager will have:

• NEBOSH Diploma/equivalent; ideally Graduate or Chartered Member of IOSH
• Previous experience of working in the Property Management/FM sectors.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commercially aware with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
