Irwin & Colton have been engaged by one of the UK's largest real estate organisations to identify a new Head of Health & Safety. The organisation has a multibillion-pound turnover and specialises across a wide variety of commercial and residential property.

This role will report directly into the Divisional Director and will work with key internal stakeholders across the business, leading on the health and safety performance across a large property portfolio.
Responsibilities of the Head of Health & Safety will include:

• Leading and engaging with key stakeholders across the business to drive a positive health and safety culture.
• Ensuring that health and safety management reflects best practice and is handled accordingly by direct reports.
• Strategically overseeing operations within the business, working closely with local partners and teams, as well as external specialist consultants, across the UK portfolio.
• Leading the wider team in the development and delivery of health and safety strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the health and safety function internally and externally.

The successful Head of Health & Safety will have:

• NEBOSH / NCRQ diploma (or equivalent) and membership of IOSH.
• Proven experience in a similar health and safety role driving change across large organisations, ideally with property or facilities management.
• Experience influencing and engaging at all levels within a large property portfolio environment.
• Experience leading a team.
