Your new company
A prominent public sector organisation based in Essex are looking to expand their H&S team with the addition of another Health & Safety Advisor. Due to restructure this position has arisen to work closely with both the people & culture department as well as the rest of the in-house H&S team. The team is well established and offers a great working environment for all potential employees.

Your new role
This role will report into the Health & Safety Lead as well as working closely with Department Heads. You will support the organisation in implementing health & safety policy, providing overall H&S advice and delivering training across allocated departments. You will also maintain compliance documentation, develop safe systems of work, form positive relationships with key internal stakeholders and conduct audits, risk assessments and accident investigations. This role will work within the scientific part of the organisation so will also include working within biosafety and radiation.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will ideally need to hold the NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent), however candidates with strong experience who hold the NEBOSH Certificate will also be considered. You will also need to have a proven track record in health & safety management with either experience or a strong interest working within science. You will need to be able to complete risk assessments, write policies and be able to build strong effective relationships. My client is open to looking at candidates who may not have all the experience but are keen to develop within the organisation (the salary will be reflective of this.)
