Health and Safety Manager

We are working with a Bristol based charity to recruit a Health and Safety Manager. In this role you will lead on health and safety strategy, manage a small team, and focus on people safety throughout the organisation. Our client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager with an engaging, pragmatic approach, confident manner and the ability to make an instant impact. This role involves regional travel across the South of England.

The Health and Safety Manager will be responsible for:

• Developing and implementing Health, Safety and Wellbeing policies and procedures
• Managing a team of Health and Safety professionals
• Engage with all areas of the business, providing expert advice
• Actively promote a positive H&S culture throughout the organisation

The Successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Hold the NEBOSH/ NCRQ Diploma or equivalent; ideally Grad or Chartered member of IOSH
• Ideally have experience within the charity, housing or social care sectors 
• Experience of managing a small team; ability to build rapport at all levels
• Confident communicator with strong presentation and influencing skills
