We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a talented Principal Designer to join a bespoke Architects and Building Consultancy in London, as a Principal Designer Team Leader. This role will involve managing and growing a small team of Principal Designers, as well as delivering hands-on Principal Designer services to a range of clients. The successful candidate will have a strong Principal Designer background and will have either managed a team previously or will be looking to step up into a more senior role. The position will be a mix of site-based work and working from their London offices, with some flexibility to work from home as well.
The Role of the Principal Designer Team Leader will be to:
Lead and manage the internal Principal Designer team Engage with clients, undertaking the Principal Designer duties as well as CDM and Health & Safety Advisory dutiesUnderstand and interpret the client requirements and lead the project and / or delivery team to fulfil those requirementsPrepare bid documents and fee proposals and draft responses to enquiries and opportunities.
The successful Principal Designer Team Leader will have:
A strong working knowledge of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and the relevant Health & Safety RegulationsExperience acting as the Principal Designer and advising on the CDM regulations on various construction projects Membership to the APS (Association for Project Safety) and IOSH A NEBOSH General / Construction certificate, or equivalent
