An independent construction and property consultancy with a close knit and dynamic Health & Safety team is currently looking for a Principal Designer / CDM professional to join their London team. The successful candidate will be working with a range of clients across London and the South East, working on a variety of high profile projects within the infrastructure, education, leisure and manufacturing sectors. Recent experience as a Principal Designer and a good understanding of the CDM 2015 regulations is a pre-requisite for this position. This position offers flexibility to work from home as well as from the London offices.

The Role of the CDM Consultant / Principal Designer will be to:

Carry out the role of Principal Designer and assist the Client in discharging their duties

Undertake client advisory duties, including site-based inspections, and provide guidance regarding construction related project issues for CDM clients

Attend design workshops to ensure that design risk can be managed

Produce CDM information including F10, pre-construction information and health and safety files

The successful CDM Consultant / Principal Designer will have:

At least 1 year's experience working as a Principal Designer and advising on the CDM regulations

Practical experience working within the Construction industry and the ability to conduct site visits and inspections

The ability to review architects/construction drawings

Proficient Knowledge of online systems such as 4projects, BIW and Asite

Membership of the APS (Desirable)
