Irwin & Colton have been engaged on an exciting new opportunity with a world-leading science research council, who are looking on bring onboard a new Health & Safety Officer. This role will be reporting directly into the Health & Safety team and supporting on all administrative tasks, relevant to the Health & Safety procedures across the organisation.

Responsibilities for the Health & Safety Officer will include:

• Supporting the Health and Safety team in the reporting of health and safety data, including creating reports, graphs and using excel to communicate data
• Maintaining the training database, booking, and scheduling relevant courses and arranging inductions
• Co-ordinating and communicating health and safety activities across the business
• Working with the team to coordinate the audits and schedules
• General administration for the team including creating meeting packs

The successful Health & Safety Officer will have:

• NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant membership of IOSH.
• Experience in a similar administration / coordination role within a health and safety team or exposure to health and safety
• Excellent communications skills with experience dealing with a wide range of stakeholders
• A keen eye for detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
