We have an exciting opportunity to make a difference in construction, influencing major projects through design to construction phase. Due to growth within their London team, our client is looking for an additional CDM and Construction Health & Safety Consultant to work on projects around Surrey and the Greater London area. You will work on a wide range of projects delivering Construction Health & Safety, Principal Designer and CDM Services. You will be part of a team who have a reputation for delivering a high-quality service to clients, adding true value to the client. 

The role of the CDM and Construction Health & Safety Consultant will be to:

Ensure projects comply with CDM 2015, this is through involvement throughout design and influencing the project team to eliminate risk through designAct as the nominated Principal Designer consultant to internal and external organisations Carry out full Principal Designer duties under the CDM regulations 2015, including chairing Design Team Meetings & full Design Risk Management complianceAttend construction sites to complete Health & Safety inspections and audits, reporting to the clientBe responsible for ensuring full compliance of all Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures

The successful CDM and Construction Health & Safety Consultant will have:

A proven track record in delivering under the CDM regs 2015, including acting as a Principal DesignerMinimum 3 years’ practical experience providing dedicated ex-CDM Co-ordinator or Health & Safety Advisor/Consultant services within the construction industryNEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety, or equivalentRecognised membership of a proven Health & Safety organisation IMaPS/CMaPS or TechIOSH/GradIOSHDegree in a construction, engineering, building surveying or building services discipline related subject would be desirable
