A global leading manufacturing organisation is looking to appoint a proven Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to lead and develop the strategy across their site in Birmingham. As the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager you will be accountable for developing and maintain systems, driving change and developing the safety culture.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive business, who have shown continual growth and are looking to appoint an engaging individual, to take their Health, Safety and Compliance to the next level. You will be responsible for one direct report who will be on site to support and help achieve objectives.

The Role of Health, Safety and Compliance Manager:

  • Create, develop and implement the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager strategy across the site, working closely with senior leaders
  • You will drive cultural change, bringing Health, Safety and Compliance Manager to the forefront
  • Coaching, managing, and developing will be essential, for you to drive change and enable individuals and the business to be more proactive
  • Ensure standards are met and continually improved upon
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally
  • To develop, progress and champion continuous improvement
  • The Health, Safety and Compliance Manager candidate:

  • Experience of working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within FMCG /Engineering or Logistics and Distribution
  • Personality, engagement and drive are essential
  • Experience of driving behavioural based safety programmes
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 & 14001
  • Knowledge of EN 15593 GMP Standard, FSC and PEFC would be advantageous
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification
  • Proven leadership skills – the ability to engage at all levels
  • Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence
