An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Health and Safety Consultancy Officer to act as a ‘Competent Person’ in line with the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations working to support the external service CREST health and safety services across a number of school settings/service users across Wolverhampton and the region, including our 11 Academies within the St Francis and St Clare  Catholic Multi Academy Company (SFSCMAC)

Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the SFSCMAC Health and Safety Officer in ensuring policies and procedures are properly implemented, compliant with legislation and statutory requirements using best practice guidelines and continuing professional development (CPD).
• Conducting regular site inspections, audits and providing guidance.
• Conducting accident investigations, maintaining systems for recording information
• Producing detailed reports and recommendations liaising with colleagues at all levels across the SFSCMAC and other school/service users including, Principals, Site Staff, Contractors, External Agencies, Academy Committee and the Board of Directors.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner and would suit a suitably qualified individual with experience of working in a similar environment.
