As we re-imagine our tomorrow, we are looking for a Safety Manager to join our business as we bring it back to life.

Our ideal Safety Manager will be operationally experienced, passionate about delivering quality, committed to our core value of ‘Do Right’, and most importantly, up for a challenge as we place top priority on this critical business support function.

 

A day in the life of a Safety Manager:

  • Ensure Delaware North food safety and health and safety procedures are consistent and comply fully with all relevant legislative requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise to support operational teams to deliver the Company’s legal obligations with regards to food safety and health and safety.
  • Produce regular high-level reports on performance for analysis by the Risk & Compliance Committee, including to our partners and regulatory bodies where required.
  • In conjunction with the external consultancy and UK Managing Director, set food safety and health and safety targets and develop KPIs to monitor and evaluate performance against these targets.
  • Build networks and communicate clearly across Delaware North to develop a culture of safety, providing coaching, mentoring, training, and expert advice to all levels.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Food Safety Level 4 and HACCP
  • NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; or
  • British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health; or
  • City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice; or
  • Technical Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health member or;
  • Equivalent qualification and experience
