A global chemical manufacturing firm with sites based in Birmingham are looking to expand their in-house safety team with the addition of 2 H&S Coordinators.
Your new role
Reporting into the Health & Safety Manager you will be assisting with carrying out risk assessments, site inspections, audits, toolbox talks, training and overall improving the culture of health & safety across the organisation. You will be working closely with various levels of staff across the site to build relationships and ensure safe working practices. Due to the nature of the site, this role will be from 2pm-10pm monday to friday.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful you will need to hold a IOSH Managing Safety or ideally the NEBOSH Certificate and have a good understanding of general health & safety matters. Exposure and practical experience within the Manufacturing and Logistics field would also be extremely beneficial. You will also need to have excellent interpersonal skills and have the right balance between approachable and assertive.
What you'll get in return
In return you will get a base salary of £31-32k plus a shift allowance. In addition there is also a full benefits package including company pension plan, generous annual leave and a flexible benefits system.
