We are working on an exciting CDM opportunity to join a global engineering consultancy as a CDM Consultant. The role will be delivering a new national CDM framework, providing both CDM and Construction Health & Safety Management Services. The successful candidate will also work on other projects across a broad range of sectors and markets, with a growing team of consultants. To succeed in this role, you will need to be an experienced Principal Designer / CDM professional, ideally with a background in design. This role will be working nationwide, but with a base in London, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester or Birmingham ideally. 

 

The role of the CDM Consultant will be:

  • Delivering projects compliant with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, across a selection of industries 
  • Delivering high quality consultancy services as a Principal Designer/Client CDM Adviser in a multi-disciplinary project environment
  • Providing in-house CDM advisor to the business' markets including Buildings, Highways, Transport, Energy, Environment & Health, Water and Managing Consulting
  • Working with colleagues to develop and market broad construction risk management services, both in the UK and overseas
  • Developing proposals and Client services, as well as supporting wider Health & Safety projects as required

The CDM Consultant will have:

  • Broad sector experience supporting Clients with CDM strategies, fulfilling client duties and acting as the Principal Designer
  • A degree level (or equivalent) qualification in a construction/design related discipline
  • A professional affiliation with APS, IOSH or CIOB, as well as the NEBOSH Construction certificate, or equivalent
  • Knowledgeable in design risk management process and techniques
  • Good technical writing, communication and client-facing skills
