Health & Safety Advisor

£40,000 - £48,000 plus package 

London/South East & Southern Region

Civil Engineering 

Permanent 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health & Safety professional to join a leading civil engineering company working within their HSEQ team to work across multiple highways projects within Central London, South East and Southern Region. Location can be flexible as the role will require 90% travel to sites in the region with the remain 10% office/home based. The ideal candidate will have hands on site experience and a minimum of 2/3 years in a health & safety position. Highway knowledge would be a distinct advantage for this position but candidates with civil engineering experience will be considered 

The Role:

  • To work closely with site teams and build long sustainable relationships 
  • Work with individual to improve on site behaviours and overall health & safety culture
  • To liaise with employees, subcontractors and suppliers on Health and Safety matters as required
  • Assisting in the implementation and improvement of the HSEQ strategy across a variety of sites 
  • To promote company values in all dealings with other employees, clients, subcontractors and other external contacts

    • The Candidate:

  • 2-3 years health & safety experience 
  • NEBOSH Certificate minimum 
  • Experience working on highways projects would be an advantage but would consider civil engineering experience 
  • Enthusiastic and dynamic individual who is looking to further their career in health & safety
