XEIAD is a leading Structures Inspection and Investigation Consultancy, and an Infrastructure Services Contractor.  As a Tier 1 supplier, we provide peace of mind for our clients, carrying out condition appraisals of their assets and completing minor civils works including structures maintenance and repair services to keep critical infrastructure safe                                      

Main Purpose:

Due to sustained growth, we are seeking to employ an experienced Health and Safety/Quality Assurance professional to join the XEIAD Senior Management Team.

The Head of QSHE will lead their department developing an annual QSHE Plan and implementing industry best practice across the business for Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Environmental aspects.

The successful candidate will ensure compliance with XEIAD values and QSHE policies, assuring compliance with current HSE legislation as well as compliance with our customers' policies and procedures.

They will build effective relationships with colleagues throughout the organisation at all levels and in all departments as well as with our suppliers and clients promoting effective QSHE initiatives

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

Academic

Essential         

  • Level 5 Qualification in a related subject (Health & Safety/Environmental/Quality                           Assurance etc

Preferable      

  • Level 6+ Qualification in a related subject (Health & Safety/Environmental/Quality                         Assurance etc.

Professional Memberships (essential)

  • Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH), or
  • Full Member of IEMA (MIEMA) or equivalent, or
  • Chartered Member of CQI (MCQI) or equivalent

Personal Skills / Experience

  • Strong leadership and team management
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • A proven track record of delivering consistent results and the ability to cope with a demanding workload
  • Over 10 years of working within the engineering/construction industry, preferably in Rail and/or Highways sectors
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to work independently and on own initiative
