Head of Health & Safety

Your new role
Reporting into the Quality Director you will be responsible for developing and delivering the strategic approach to health & safety management across the organisation. You will be influencing and promoting a positive safety culture, define and deliver health & safety performance and review and develop HSE systems. Strategy wise this role includes developing policies, producing annual health & safety plans, auditing cycles and reviewing legislation but will also need you to be involved in reporting, H&S committee meetings and undertaking site visits across the organisation. You will also be in charge of managing a small team and your time will be split between the office in West Midlands, travel to sites nationally and homeworking.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful you will need to be minimum GradIOSH (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) and ideally either working towards or close to CMIOSH. You will need to be confident in working within resources, developing culture and driving performance. You will need to be a good communicator and someone who is willing to put all hands on deck to get things done.

What you'll get in return
In return you will get a generous salary of £60,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package.
