Irwin & Colton has been engaged by a major principal contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Inspector. They have an excellent track record of health and safety performance and this role is critical to ensure this is not only maintained but continually improved and developed.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Inspector will include:

• Ensuring compliance with the requirements of the ISO Management systems at site level
• To carry out full health and safety inspections of the sites, identify incidents, their root causes and recommendations to prevent recurrence
• To produce detailed reports of each inspection in a timely manner
• Constantly assessing opportunities for improvements and sharing best practice across the organisation

The successful Health and Safety Inspector will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within construction or a related industry
• A NEBOSH / NCRQ and ideally membership of IOSH
• Ideally hold or working towards relevant CSCS Competence card
• A thorough knowledge of the relevant Health and Safety Legislation
