Location: Somerset
Salary: Circa £40,000 - £45,000 plus good benefits

We've partnered with one of the UK's leading building products manufacturer to recruit a Health & Safety Manager. The role covers 4 sites (all in close proximity) and will be primarily based at their main manufacturing plant in Somerset. The role will lead on all Health & Safety activities across the sites, and report to the Managing Director of the business.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Manager will include:

• Ensuring the sites are compliant with both UK legislation ensuring the Company complies with its statutory obligations
• Working across the sites to drive improvement and engagement for health & safety
• Auditing health & safety performance, accurately reporting and investigating any incidents and near misses
• Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators
• Leading on new initiatives and always seeking opportunities to improve and develop health & safety

The successful Health and Safety Manager will have:

• Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Ideally NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and membership of IOSH
• Excellent communication skills with proven experience of engaging with colleagues at all levels from the shop floor to the boardroom
• A strong technical knowledge across relevant health & safety legislation
