My client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join their team. You will be based in Greater Manchester. This award-winning company are experts in design and build of workplace environments. They are a people focused company, where all their designs are targeted around creating a happy and positive workplace. This company has multiple disciplines across the industry which they tailor to each client's requirements providing support from start to finish. This role reports directly into the directors, there will be aspects self-management however you will be apart of the wider team, contributing to their inclusive values.

Your new role
Providing advice and support you will oversee the Health & Safety requirements of the business, guaranteeing all regulations and best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Maintaining and driving improvements for ISO quality management systems, specifically 45001.
  • Designing and delivering bespoke training, ensuring all staff at all levels of the business have completed appropriate training and maintain records.
  • Provide Health & Safety advice to all staff on-site and office based.
  • Advise on CDM 2015 regulations and environmental issues.
  • Produce construction phase plans and pre-construction information and advice for each project.
  • Produce, review, and improve risk assessments and method statements.
  • Manage the accident and incident reports and advise on preventions.
  • Review and update company Health & Safety polices.
  • Manage and carry out internal and external audits complying with regulations and standards.
  • Ensure compliant with all relevant Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
  • Issue and complete operations and maintenance manuals to clients.
  • Producing reports and chairing bi-monthly meetings to discuss the findings.
  • Promote a positive and proactive Health & Safety culture throughout the business.


What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for someone who has experience in similar roles, across construction. To be considered you will hold a NEBOSH certificate. You will be Health and Safety compliant and have experience in managing CMD projects. There is travel required in the role dependent on the project. You must be flexible to travel, providing your own car however a car allowance is included. To be successful in this role you will need to have a forward-thinking approach and a be capable of working on your own, alongside having excellent customer solving and client management skills. Having a flexible approach with attention to detail and can-do attitude will help you progress in this role to the best of your ability.

What you'll get in return
Salary of up to £35,000, 22 days holiday which increases each year up to 26 days plus bank holidays, and a car allowance. A pension scheme is also included.
