We are working with a leading Chartered Insurance Broker who are looking for a Health & Safety and Fire Safety Consultant to join their Risk Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong Fire Safety background, with experience carrying out Fire Risk Assessment across a range of sites, with a good more general Health & Safety background too. This position is a home-based role, but the candidate must but happy travelling regionally and sometimes nationally to provide high quality Health & Safety, and Fire Safety services to various clients. A large section of the client base where Fire Risk Assessments will be carried out is within the Education sector, so some experience within an Education environment would be very beneficial. 

The Role:

  • Undertake surveys and site visits, carrying out Health & Safety Audits and Fire Risk Assessments
  • Carry out a range of Fire Risk Assessments for multiple clients within the Education sector 
  • Partnering with clients to write, review and implement Fire Safety and Health & Safety policies
  • As well as providing face-to-face support and services, provide telephone/email advisory services for Health & Safety and Fire Safety
  • Support in the sale of Risk Services products and services, including occasional meetings with new prospects and existing clients

The Candidate:

  • Experienced within a client-facing or consulting Fire Safety or Health & Safety role
  • Have experience working in Fire Safety, carrying out Fire Risk Assessments throughout different environments and sites
  • Health & Safety qualifications ideally to a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent standard
  • Experience working within Education and/or Charity sectors would be beneficial
  • Have a full UK Driving Licence and comfortable travelling nationally to visit clients
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience in presenting to clients / senior management
