Health & Safety Professional - Warrington based with travel - £32,000-£35,000

My client has an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety professional to join their expanding team, located in Warrington. After 16 years in the business, you can be assured they understand the Health & Safety responsibilities in which an organisation needs and can work in partnership with you to apply tailored solutions. This ever growing and trusted business has a range of services they offer in various sectors ranging from H&S support, CDM Safety to Machine safety. Your new role
Providing advice and support you will oversee the Health & Safety requirements of the business, guaranteeing all regulations and best practices are followed. Your responsibilities will include;

  • Outline safe operational procedures, consider all relevant hazards on site, ensuring contractors on site have been inducted.
  • Undertake and continually review risk assessments, ensuring working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
  • Advise on a range of specialist areas, including fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, CDM2015 and occupational disease.
  • Carry out site audits and communicate to relevant parties as required.
  • Design and deliver bespoke H&S advice, support and guidance as and when required.
  • Undertake machine compliance processes and safety audits.
  • Design and deliver bespoke training.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of Health & Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and awareness of developments and new legislation that will affect the industry.


What you'll need to succeed
My client is looking for someone who has experience in similar roles, across construction and manufacturing. To be considered you will hold a NEBOSH certificate. Having a Construction Certificate is desirable. You will be Health and Safety compliant and have experience in managing CMD projects or principle designer. There is travel required in the role dependent on the project, this will potentially include over nights stays during the working week. You must be flexible to travel, providing your own car however a car allowance is included. To be successful in this role you will need to have good process management skills along side having excellent customer solving and client management skills. Having a flexible approach with attention to detail and can-do attitude will help you progress in this role to the best of your ability.
