Health, Safety and Security Manager (maternity cover, fixed term contract)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, proactive, self motivated and enthusiastic individual with excellent written, interpersonal, prioritisation and organisational skills to join the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Trust as the Trust’s Health, Safety and Security Manager (maternity cover).
The postholder will be required to act as the competent person for the management of Health, Safety and Security fulfilling the Trust’s legal obligations. This includes developing, implementing and managing robust systems and processes for effective health, safety and security management across the Trust; assisting the organisation in providing a safe environment for staff, patients and visitors to the Trust; achieving compliance with its statutory duties under Health and Safety at Work etc., Act 1974.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in a similar role alongside a Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Health and Safety Management and a NHS recognised security management qualification to enable them to be the nominated Local Security Management Specialist (LSMS) for the Trust.
The successful applicant will be expected to commence the role by the 17th May 2021.
