HSEQ Auditor

HSEQ Auditor | Hertfordshire | Permanent | £30,000 - £35,000 plus package  

An opportunity has arisen for a Health and Safety professional with experience of auditing to join a rail maintenance company to lead on their planned and reactive maintenance contracts alongside other rail projects. The ideal candidate will be looking to join a business where they can continue to grow, is NEBOSH/NCRQ qualified and has hands on experience in health and safety position

The Role:

• To lead and advise on health and safety across the business and promote a positive health and safety culture
• Monitor health and safety performance across multiple projects, working alongside sub-contractors.
• Carry out site induction, audits and inspections when required
• Auditing of active construction sites, maintenance work, completed works, contract and management teams on sites.
• Preparing, amending and submitting of auditing reports and programmes

• Investigating accidents, incidents, close calls and near misses and preparing reports
• Carrying out assessments of work activities and advising on safe systems of work
• Assisting with external audits by accreditation bodies and clients

The Candidate:

• 1-3 years health & safety experience
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Previous experience with auditing
• Tech IOSH
• Must have relevant Civil engineering experience, preferably within rail industry
• Happy in a regional traveling position
