Irwin & Colton have been exclusively retained to identify the Global Head of Health and Safety for one of the world's most prominent media, events and entertainment groups. The organisation is renowned for innovation, with a turnover in excess of £2bn and operate in more than 30 countries worldwide. This newly created position is critical to ensure the organisation remains at the forefront of their industry, through creating and implementing a global health and safety strategy and framework.

This role is focused on driving change through engaging and influencing global business leaders. Key responsibilities for the Global Head of Health and Safety will include:

• Networking across the group to truly understand the current and anticipated business challenges
• Creating a global health and safety strategy which provides the business with a framework to operate and a safe environment
• Continually evaluating performance and refining the strategy to meet the ever-changing needs of the business
• Scanning the horizon to anticipate and react to global changes and ensuring these are communicated effectively across the group
• Leading the Global Health and Safety Team, ensuring effective resource allocation across a diverse business group

The successful Global Head of Health and Safety candidate will have:

• A proven track record of driving change within large, global, complex organisations
• Ideally experience from within the wider media, events or entertainment sectors
• Extensive health and safety leadership experience with the ability to influence multiple stakeholders to drive change through the creation of pragmatic, innovative solutions
• A relevant health and safety qualification and a solid understanding of health and safety legislation in a global context
