Founded in 1869, Robinson Brothers is one of the UK's largest independent manufacturers of speciality organic chemicals, providing a comprehensive package of products and technical services across two distinct global market areas - fine chemicals and rubber accelerators. The business operates from its Lower Tier COMAH site in Birmingham.

The business is seeking to recruit an experienced SHE Manager to operate as the strategic and practical lead in pro-actively promoting the safety agenda and increasing the level of engagement within the workforce across all levels. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Manage the Safety, Health, Environmental and Regulatory Department of the company to improve SHE performance and culture
  • Develop the management systems and site strategies for Occupational Health & Safety, Process Safety, Environmental Management, Product Stewardship, Sustainability and Regulation.
  • Represent the company at all levels outside the company on SHE matters including contact with the Public and the Competent Authority.
  • Provide advice on SHE matters to all levels within the company

Required Qualifications & Expertise:

  • Chemicals Manufacturer background with a minimum of five years COMAH experience
  • Minimum 10 years’ SHE experience, preferably with an Engineering/Operational background
  • Chartered member of IOSH or working towards chartered status
  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health/Environmental Management or equivalent
