This public sector organisation is looking to appoint a health & safety manager for a 6 month period to oversee strategic policy implementation. The organisation is currently growing after taking on more contracts and therefore need a senior professional to lead on health & safety
Your new role
This role will involve the line management on 1 H&S assistant. It will be focused on helping senior management and directors engage with health & safety and ensure that policies and procedures are compliant and correctly implemented. With a diverse workforce including on-site key workers and work for home staff, you will need to ensure all staff are catered for and current legislation is kept up to date with.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful for this role you will need to have ideally the NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent and a successful track record with senior stakeholder relationships. Health & safety experience within public services would be ideal, and any exposure to recycling or grounds maintenance departments would be a bonus.
What you'll get in return
In return you will get a salary in the £50k region as well as full benefits as if you were a permanent member of staff. Homeworking will also be available with only minimal office visits.
